When my mother was killed, I was miserable. My father had already died previously. Now that my mother was gone, I was an orphan. Even the elven princess, Morianida, couldn't even comfort me through those troubled times. I was left alone to sulk. To compensate for my sadness, there was Harter.
Harter was always there to comfort me. He was one of the most loyal knights to the pure side. And he was one of the most handsom ones, too. He aided me. The mystery in him was what attracted me to him. He was quiet. He rarely ever spoke. I normally told him my problems and feelings while he either lay down or practiced swordsmanship. Despite his distractions, he heard every word. I still remember when he first kissed me. We were both at the river. He was taking a drink. I was talking about what would happen if he was taken away from his home and put into the militray encampment to train for war against the Shadow Side.
He told me to be quiet a few times. I pretended not to hear him. He stood up abrubtly from the waters and moved over to me. I was telling him the war would be horrible. Then he kissed me. That one kiss turned into something magical, I suppose. it became our routine to lose ourselves in eachother every time we could. it wasn't long before i was head over heels in love with him. Harter was strong and dignified, but he was loyal to his country, too. it was out last night together before he would leave to prepare for war.
Harter sensed something in the air that night. He made me hide in the shadows while he scoped out the place. I did so. I shouldn't have. A group of three vampires attacked him. He suceeded in killing two, but the last one got him. He took all of the bodies back somewhere. I remember watcing him die. I screamed when I knew he was never coming back. They never even found his body.
The coincidence in the murders left me as the prime suspect. I was charged guilty by the queen herself. She escorted me to the bleak and pushed me over the side to the shadow part herself. She watched me as I changed in my ways, but I was innocent. No one believed me. And the Shadow Side was all I had.
